1. Which plant leaves are used as medicines?

Is the above sentence correct and convey the correct message?

Leaves of some plants are used as medicines. The question is about those plants.

It's okay - but I would prefer "The leaves of which plants are used as medicines?"

Otherwise, the answer COULD be: Leaves near the top of the plant. Leaves that have just grown on the plant. etc. But that tells you which leaves, not which plants.
