Grammar

sentence

Hello,

I came down the street. I met Prakash. (As)

I have to join these two simple sentences using the word given in the bracket.

1. As I came down the street, I met Prakash.

2. I met prakash, as I came down the street.

Which one is correct?

Thanks.

I do not think you need a comma in the second sentence.

Hi,

I have basically the same comment as with your other thread about 'while'. Both versions are OK, but they just place slight emphasis on different parts of the sentences.

Best wishes, Clive
