Sense

The American family has been undergoing a profound process of change. Some have cited the high rates of divorce as evidence of a trend to disorganization in an absolute sense.
What does 'in an absolute sense' here modify? 'Disorganization'?

Hi Taka

Yes, I would say it is intended to modify "disorganization".

By the way, I think the word "sited" is probably a typo (i.e. it should be "cited").
