Semicolons & Commas - Internally Punctuated Series

(1) Mike Smith, 35, of Dallas, Texas; John Buchanan, 50, of Sarasota, Florida; and Evelyn Davis, 43, of Charlotte, North Carolina, were arrested on charges of grand larceny.

(I say that a comma correctly follows "North Carolina", not a semicolon. Am I correct?)

(2) John, 6; Amy, 3; Peter, 8; and Jeremy, 4, all attended the kids' birthday bash!

(Commas after the names and semicolons after the ages? Also, a comma after '4', not a semicolon, correct?)

Thanks
