Is the semi colon in the sentence correct? Or, I shouldn't use it at all.
We as humans always desire unlimited power and luxuries; for which we need money.

Furthermore, it should introduce an explanatory or other closely related clause: "We as humans always desire unlimited power and luxuries; we need need money for that." I rarely use it that way. It seems gimmicky and obtrusive to me.
The semicolon isn't right. I would use a comma.
To my eye, the combination "power and luxuries" is very faintly incongruous. Perhaps "luxury" might be better.
