What does self-oriented person mean really ?

I found some definition on the internet and dictionary, but still don't understand it clearly.

Some aspects of the person's life would be centered around fashion, but we can't be sure about the person's motives or the way the person pursues his

I think that self-oriented does not mean selfish. It is certainly the case that all selfish people are self-oriented/self-centered however, it is not the case that all self-oriented/self-centered people are selfish.

To be primarily concerned with yourself is not the same as being "exclusively" concerned with yourself. The accurate term for that would be self-absorbed or self-obsessed, o
