Self-guided

Can you please explain what is "self-guided"? it reffer to videos and not to humans so it's unclear to me... thanks

Wild immersions includes a variety of wildlife videos for your students to view in virtual reality. The wild immersions videos are self-guided where students work independently through the virtual reality experience. This is different than the guided learning experience we explained with Google expeditions.

They want to say that the audience guides itself through the experience using those videos. It is shorthand for that. So the videos are "self-guided videos," even though it is really the human viewers of the videos who do the guiding.
