Self-deluding people

Hi

Do you find the underlined phrases natural English? Any suggestions please?

  1. He'll give you a loan? -- (Ha-ha) it's nothing but self-delusion. I think you know him as well as we all do.
  2. Don't be so self-deluding. People don't return from their graves just because their families miss them sorely.
  3. You expect to become so rich overnight?! It's being a bit too self-deluding.
  4. The whole team seems sunk in self-delusion.
  5. The whole team seems blanketed in self-delusion.
  6. The whole team seems enveloped by self-delusion.

Thanks,

Tom
