Selections Vs. Choices

Hi,

Are there any differnces between those two words "selections" and "choices" as I have come across them in an English textbook as qouted below:

- You can make selections and choices with the mouse button.

I think in your quote they mean the same: "You can choose from among certain options."

In a slightly different context, I think you could say, "You have three options / choices," but not "You have three selections."
