seep / ooze

Could you help me with these two words? What's the difference between seep and ooze? Which one should be used in the following sentence?

As I walked along the landing I noticed water ...... under the door.

Either would be appropriate but personally I would choose seep. Ooze, to me, has an element of yucky icky sticky sort of stuff?

So I guess in the following sentece I'd better use the verb ooze:

The wound oozed blood.
