seem like and seem to be

It seems like a luxury to have someone you love.

is it ok to use "to be" as in "It seems to be a luxury to have someone you love"?

"It seems like a luxury to have someone you love." is understandable and marginally grammatically acceptable, but it's awkward stylistically and usage-wise. In the US you'd more likely hear: "It's a luxury to have someone to love."
