Seeking correspondent English saying

Here in Brazil we have this saying "Aos amigos tudo, aos inimigos a lei". It can be translated like this: "For friends all; for foes the law."
I wonder if there is a corresponding saying in English.

Often, people use the phrase "above the law" when talking about someone who is able to avoid punishment for a crime (such as a wealthy or powerful person).

Another phrase is "take the law in your own hands" which means someone decides to punish someone else on their own, often if the authorities won't act themselves.
