Seek

Hello,

Sometimes the verb 'seek' is used at the time of admission at school. The school or college put a notice stating that the parents who seek admission for their wards in this school should collect a admission form from the office.

What does 'seek' mean here?

I know that 'seek' means 'look for something'.

But in the context of the admission, I am not able to understand the meaning of 'seek'.

Could any one explain it to me?

Thanks.
