Seeing you? or see you?

Hi, today i got an email from someone and i have this question.

He wrote:

Looking forward to seeing you at the wedding...

This is what i use all the time:

Looking forward to see you at the wedding..

So, my question is which one is right? why "ing" after seeing?

Hi yohooo, There are several threads already on this topic. I look forward to v-ing or I am looking forward to v-ing The -ing form is correct, so you'll want to change how you write it.
