see some actions or see them in action?

Hi,

My friends are job shadowing, so is it correct to ask," Did you see some actions?" Or, I have to say," Did you see engineers in action?"

Thanks

I suggest as more natural eg Did you see them actually doing anything outside the office?

"Did you see some actions?"
"Did you see engineers in action?"

Correct grammar, but not natural. The word 'action' here is too vague. It sounds like it might include
eg Yes, I saw an engineer talking on the phone. And another was keying an email.
