See me off

You game me all these feelings, these emotions, and your boundless faith all so you see me off as I move my life forward.

Is it used feguratively? The meaning of it alone is unclear to me. It's possibly because of my lac of imagination, etc. In spie of my refering to a dictionary to see through the meaning of the phrasal verb 'see someone off', its meaning is arrived at unclearly. No matter which definition I accept, I cannot interpret that clearly. I desire the expression to be arrived at intuitively.

1. to go to an airport, train, station, etc., with someone who is leaving in order to say goodbye. She saw him off at the train station

2. Brit

a: to chase or force someone away from a place. The police finally saw them off.

b: to defeat or stop (an enemy, opponent, etc.) They saw off the opposition
