Essay & Composition Writing

Security or Freedom

I would like to write an essay about whether security or freedom and independence are more important in my life. I’ll appreciate if anyone gives me his opinion on the way of my writing, my vocabulary and my grammar too. Thanks.

In my opinion, I feel that security is an essential aspect in my life; because when I feel secure in the environment I live specifically in the family, I can have the ability to be creative. I feel that there is a connection between the word security and freedom, I think the word security means there is no threats on your life, and you can do your normal activities without feeling fear e.g. if there is a new informing you that there is a dangerous criminal escaped from the prison and everyone should be careful and take cautions if any anonymous person knocking his door. So, definitely, after hearing such bad new, everyone will feel a little insecure. When you feel secure, absolutely you’ll feel freedom e.g. if someone says to me feel free to go around my house and if you need anything don’t hesitate to tell me, so, if I feel free, it means I feel secure. Another example of security, if I want to travel to a certain country, if I heard from news that there is problems in this country and there are thieves and gangs there, I’ll not go to this country; because I’ll not feel safe. Freedom can also be in thinking and in planning, e.g. the son wants to register in a specific specialization, wants to marry a certain girl, wants to do a particular thing but he can’t do because there are restrictions that unable him to do what he prefer. Finally, as I said in the beginning of my writing, that security is more important than freedom and independence although all of them are necessary requirements in our life.

This short essay which I wrote is not for a teacher or for a certain person, it is for me, to know how much I know about writing, to hear some advices from others and to improve my English language.
