Is it possible for the second subordinated verb in the same clause be in a form that is not an infinitive, gerund, or participle?

I am studying the catenative and causative verbs and on the wikipedia page for catenative I read this: "...catenative verbs are http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verbs which can be followed within the same clause by another verb." The phrase "within the same clause by another verb" made me think, "so is it possible for two verbs to exist in the same clause that is not infinitive, gerund, or participle." Excluding verbs join by a coordinating conjunction.

I couldn't think of an example where this is possible. Just because I couldn't think of a situation, I did not want to assume that this does not exist.

I know this isn't an example, but I hope by explaining my situation and thought process that maybe someone can help me.
