Second conditional

So, I'm trying to answer this question:
"Would you prefer to gather with your friends at your house or at a café?"
I prefer to meet with my friends at my house, and one of my arguments is that at a café, there could be some music playing, and we may don't like it, so I answered:
"...On the other side, if we met at my house, we could choose whatever kind of music we wanted to hear..."
Is this correct?

Anonymous Is this correct? The second conditional part is correct, but the initial expression is wrong. The correct idiom is "On the other hand".
