Can I say,

a) Many parents came and seated under the tent in the school for the sports day.

b) They seated in the big school tent.

c) There was / It was crowded and noisy (in the field).

They sat, not "seated."
I would delete "the" before "sports day."
It was, not "There was."

They were seated - they were given a seat by someone or (rather formal) they were sitting.
They seated themselves - (rather formal) they sat down.

Thanks, if I followed the suggested answer in the sentence, isn't a correct way:

If other people assigned them that location, then yes, "They were seated under the big school tent" is okay.
