1. Does it make sense to say:


"The sun is falling on the sea, producing this effect."


Note: By 'fall on', I mean the light rays are being 'targeted' in the water (and some may be refracted or be reflected).




2. And still considering the conditions above, would it make sense to say:


"The waters are sparkling."
