Scupper, alert

Hi,

"She scuppered our plans."

Would the word 'scupper' be used in a normal conversation between two people? I believe that 'scuttle' is the American equivalent.

"There is one last thing that I would like to alert you to." Is this sentence natural and correct?

Thank you.

Ann225 Would the word 'scupper' be used in a normal conversation between two people? In the UK, yes. Dictionaries call it "British", so I guess it is not used in AmE.
