scubadived Most electronic dicitonaries I've used advised against using dove as the past tense of dive as it (dove) is a little outdated. It is not wrong to say 'dove' though.

I would recommend "went scuba diving." If you really want to use "scuba dive" as a verb, however, "Scuba dived" is what most people say, but some do say "scuba dove." I have heard the former must more frequently.

Personally, I wouldn't use 'scuba dive' as a verb, just 'scuba diving' the noun. Then, the verb would be 'to go scuba diving'. So the past would be 'went scuba diving'.
But this online dictionary also gives the past as 'scuba dived' (two words).

On second thought, when you google scuba-dive or scuba dive, or look it up in the dictionary, you won't get a lot of hits. It's probably just like 'mountain climbing'. You'll get entries for 'mountain climber' and 'mountain climbing' but never the verb 'mountain climb'. You can say 'go mountain climbing' or simply 'climb'.
In like manner, you can say, 'I dived/dove in/at Lake Placid' o
