Hi,
As far as I know, journalists are sometimes (humorously)called 'scribes'.
Do you think this funny name can also be nicely applied to technical writers (and possibly some other representatives of the 'writing brethren' :-)

Yes, it applies jocularly to any writer. By the way, I'd prefer a question mark to an emoticon, and "nicely" is odd there.
