screw/ screwed/ screw up/ vs mess/messed up/mess about

hello

Can somebody explain me meaing and different using of these verbs. I read dictionary but its very confusing for me as my languege is not that good as English, so its hard to translate it properly.

so please also write me some sample sentences

I have a small general comment about usage.

Both of these expressions are informal. However, the word '*****' also has a sexual connotation. That makes it slightly less polite in this context of 'failing', although that does not mean it is terribly, terribly rude.
