"Screening Format"?

Dear Teachers,

Is the term "screening format" used both for DVDs and movie film reels, or only for the latter?

Thank you!

Hi, As a general term, I don't see why I shouldn't apply to both. Does it have some special technical meaning? Clive

Thanks.

Yes, I have it where it would at least could refer to either PAL or NTSC for DVDs. I'm just not sure whether it's about a DVD or rather a motion-picture/cinema type of film reel.

Hi,

I don't know. Have you tried a few Google searches to see what is said?

Thank you very much, Clive! I already did some search before, but now that you answered, I've managed to find the info at last! Yes, it can refer to DVDs as well! Thank you!
