Which part of the TV screen is the "screen thingy"?

I googled to try to find any useful picture but to no avail,

can anybody please explain this specific area of a screen in words?

'Thingy' is just a slangform ot the word 'thing'.
eh What's that thingy in your pocket?

So, 'a screen thingy' could mean the screen itself, or some thing that is shown on the screen.
