Scramble

Hi

What does it mean that "we scrambled together"? Does it mean that we quarreled a little bit with each other?

Example: I borrowed some money from my two friends. We scrambled together just enough to make the trip.

Thanks

No, by pooling what you all had, you mixed in the amounts and together, it was enough. Think of scrambled eggs. If you scramble three together, you can't tell what bit came from where.

I suspect it's a typo for "scrabbled together."
