Scorn plumbing jobs

I have made up the sentences below.

(1) Some people look down on plumbers.

(2) Some people look down on plumbing jobs. (wrong)

I think it's wrong to say "look down on jobs".

Is it okay to say "scorn jobs"?

For example, (3) Some people scorn plumbing jobs.

Is "scorn" in (3) the right word? Thank you for your help.

Yes. The second is not wrong because of bad grammar. It just has a less than optimal word choice. However, you can use it in informal settings, and very few people will take exception to it.
