The package of a set of scissors I bought read:
INCLUDES:
Coupon clippers
Office scissors
Household scissors
Kitchen shears
Now, what's the difference between household scissors and kitchen shears?
What about coupon clippers? Are they only intended to cut coupons?
Thanks.
anonymous kitchen shears? They are used in the kitchen, for example cutting twine around chicken leg bones, cutting raw chicken skin, snipping herbs, cutting up dried fruit, and other food preparation activities. Kitchen shears are stronger and more robust than office scissors, which are primarily for cutting paper and tape.

Pretty much. Their handles are bent at an angle that allows you to have the back of the bottom blade flat on the table. My mother's pinking shears were like that.
