Scientists predict in the near future, cars will be driven by computers, not people. Why? Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

It is universally believed that computers would take the wheel in foreseeable future. While some people contend that vehicles driven by artificial intelligence would bring some drawbacks, I am of the opinion that this development would offer substantial benefits.

It is understandable why some people subscribe to the view that driverless cars could be attributed to dangerous situation. The key rationale is that weather could become a hurdle for cars driven manually. For instance, in the treacherous weather, artificial intelligence tended to be damaged. As a result, people who travel on the road might be put under hazardousness. In addition, driverless cars would lead to the unemployment situation. Thousands of drivers will lose their jobs which would be a burden to the economy of countries.

However, I firmly advocate that autonomous cars could bring to individuals and economic prosperity are plain. First, driverless cars could reduce the number of traffic accidents. It is irrefutable that traffic injuries could be ascribed to human error such as drunken drivers, reckless drivers ,… As a result, autonomous cars could be life changers for transportation. Furthermore, autonomous cars could also cut down the use of fuels which attribute to increasingly air quality and better economic prosperity.

In conclusion, cars driven manually are predicted to permeate in the future. Regardless some drawbacks of this development, I believe that driverless cars would be a life saver for transportation.
