These days, many scientists argue that the world is more dangerous due to environmental changes. Some people believe that something should be made to deal with this problem by the government, while others think that individuals change their lifestyle to decrease the damage to the environment. In my opinion, I strongly believe that it is necessary to alter personal lifestyle to improve the environment.
To start with, the impact on the environment might partly be reduced by the effort of the government because the government has the right to control or forbid individual activities which can badly affect the environment through several laws such as taxes for environmental protection, and punishment on deforestation. For this reason, it is available for the government to base on those laws or policies to restrict citizens' damages and protect the environment.
On the other hand, many people believe that personal lifestyle changes can reduce the environmental impacts. One obvious thing is that accumulation of small bad habits can lead to huge negative consequences. For instance, if people keep the habit of trashing everywhere in daily life, the environment around that community is likely to be polluted during long-duration. Therefore, when each individual can adjust their style of living in friendly environmental ways, the environment gradually would be better in the future.
All things considered, the effort of the government is necessary to decrease the damage to the environment, however, the change of lifestyles of every single one is more essential to protect the environment. And from my point of view, the more individual lifestyle changes are made, the better the environment is.
