Hi,
Im attempting to answer this question for syntax: what is meant by the scientific study of language. can someone tell me in general what key points i should include in my answer. For example should i write about the binding of anaphors?

I don't see where the mention of something so specific as anaphora would answer "What is meant by the scientific study of language?" I would concentrate on more general points, such as the prescriptive vs. descriptive accounts of language, then showing how the scientific approach is the descriptive one.

Just about anything really. I assume this is for a course and that you have a textbook of some kind. Your textbook should be full of examples to choose from. I don't think we can answer more specifically on this forum. You need to discuss it with your teacher, or at least choose the points the teacher has stressed in class. That would be my
