"School's role" or "The role of school"

Good morning, teachers,

I made two sentences as seen in the followings:

(a) When it comes to education, school's role has risen, while household's one has declined.

(b) When it comes to education, the role of school has risen, while that of the household has declined.

Could you let me know which one is correct / natural?

Thanks and best regards,

David Kim

  • You don't need a comma after 'risen'.
  • I would omit it.
