School of Buddhism / practices for yourself and others

1. There are different schools of Buddhism.

Is 'school' the correct word? I think so.

2. Our school of Buddhism practices for the sake of yourself and others.

Our Buddhism practices for yourself and others.

Do the sentences sound right? If wrong, please change them for me. Do I have to use 'school of' and 'the sake of'?

Thanks a lot.
