Scholarship Essay for Foreign Exchange Students

Hi! Good day! I would like to ask for your time to help me edit my scholarship essay, It would be of great help for my application. THANK YOU!

By the way, the topics asked are:

1. Why do I need to study in Japan.
2. Study plans in Japan
3. Future plans
4. Financial situation.

As a student leader, my desire to be an ambassador of goodwill to a foreign country keeps growing. Undoubtedly, the opportunity of studying abroad will propel me to achieve soon to unfold in my student and my career paths.

My main objective to study at *** is to experience another educational system quite different from our own and to blend myself with Japan’s rich cultural heritage. Thus, their commitment for establishing international exchange students will nurture and enlighten individuals like me on how first world countries maintain their economic portfolio in the competitive market.

Studying abroad will also provide me with opportunities for study and research which can satisfy diverse needs. While learning about the country’s culture, business ethics, and socio-economic system, I also feel that being in a foreign country such as Japan will help increase my level of independence, responsibility and personal motivation. Upon return to my country, the knowledge I will gain from an advanced country will make me as a valuable resource to my future endeavours, may it be in the field of leadership or community grants. At the end of the day, given the chance to study at *** will help me both in my academic growth and my leadership career.

I currently hold a Bachelor of Business Administration degree *** with Majors in Management. During my sophomore year, I was appointed as the Year Level President and a Marketer for numerous activities. My strong knowledge of the course was confirmed by my recent Term QPA of 3.54 out of 4.0. Moreover, this undertaking earned me a privilege of being honored as one of the Ten Outstanding CBA Sophomore Students of the Year and having successfully received a Class Honors and Dean’s Lister Award for SY 2011-2013.

Conscientious parents raised me in a small municipality of ***. My father manages a machine shop which is fairly competing with the availability of job offers. While my parents are modestly proud of my accomplishments, they have only humble means and are not in a full financial position to fund my education at ***. As a solitary breadwinner of his family, my father did more than enough as to extending his financial aid to my grandparents and relatives as well. His recent venture on a new branch left us a debt of around 800,000 Pesos (equivalent to 1,876,975 Yen). Furthermore, our daily living expenses of around 1,500 Pesos (equivalent to 3,519 Yen) could only provide us with enough savings for emergency funds and other family needs. Receiving this scholarship will allow me to obtain the financial assistance necessary to earn this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Despite the challenges I was confronted with, the valuable insights I learned from my course work and from the myriad humble endeavours had knitted who I am today. Henceforth, this privilege that you will bestow upon me will be an inspirational move, a challenge, bringing me to breeze through and exceed beyond expectations.
