Scheme ?

Can I use the word "scheme" in the following context? If scheme isn't proper, what word is better?

It is suggested to schedule 5 day module from Wednesday to Sunday, to avoid Monday when most students have difficulty to ask a leave from work. Therefore, could we adjust the class dates accordingly since this summer? That is to say, the following classes will be moved one day earlier to Wednesday-Sunday scheme instead of the original Thursday-Monday.
