Scene versus sequence

Hi.

What is the difference between sequence and scene in a movie?

My longman dictionary classifies them as synonyms, but I think they are different from eachother.

Note, I know other meanings of sequence, I am just talking about the one which is part of a movie stroy.

Thank you in advance for your time and help

My understanding is that a sequence is just a series of scenes that work toward a specific point or conclusion. An example might be a couple having a fight where one or the other ends up leaving in anger. The entire fight might be made up of a number of individual scenes but they all center on the one incident.

My understanding is that, one scence may include several sequences and one sequence may consist of several scenes.

Do I have the right impression about the words.
