Scatter across

how do you write the phrase?

When talking the tube, would passengers scatter across the platform for easy access. We don't want everyone getting in the same car.

Top answer

In London the official announcements say "Please move right along the platform and use all available doors". You wouldn't say "scatter" because that means to run away in all directions. You could say "please spread out along the platform" or "please use the whole platform".
