Vocabulary

scared to and scared of

Hi,

What is the difference between 'be scared to+V' and 'be scared of'+V-ing?

1."Don't be scared of asking for help."

2."Don't be scared to ask for help."

Do the two sentences have the same meaning?

Thanks.
