"As a start-up you want to grow everything, except your problems. Problems don’t scale well"

What is meant by "Problems don't scale well" in the above sentence?

You can deal with small problems.
It is much more difficult to deal with large problems. If your business problems grow, you will be spending more time fighting the problems than running the business.
