Scale

Can you please tell me if my sentences are correct?

"He was rated as below average on a like scale"

"He scored low on a like scale"

I would like to say that the person's popularity was measured on a scale, and his rank was below average.

If the term "like scale" is correct, what is the opposite scale? The dislike scale, perhaps?

Thank You!

(The opposite is an 'unpopularity scale', but why bother with that? It's the same thing turned upside down.)
