Dear all,
What does" say what you will" mean? Is it a common English expression?

A: She's a porn star.
B: Say what you will about porn industry, they're hard workers.

"Say what you will" means "say whatever you like that's negative, a positive thing is that..." Often the positive thing will be more important than the negatives, at least in the context of what's being talked about.

Seeing some positive in a negative:-
