In the military of US or UK, what does a soldier have to say before he enters the office of his boss/officer? Surely he has to say something to report to his boss that he is coming. He would say, officially, the word "report?" Or something else? I reckon he cannot say "Hello" because that is too informal in that case. English is not my first language and I haven't yet read enough original English works to find this out. So I post here to seek a favor. Thank you in anticipation.
