Hi. Which is correct, "says" or "say," to refer to the two Bible verses, John 3:16 and 17?

How about this? Which is correct, "say" or "says"? For the sake of the question, let's assume that someone wants to refer to the two verses together and it is okay. Thank you in advance for your help.
