Save my soul

Hello everyone, this is a question from an assignment that is due tomorrow. I am quite confused with this question and would like some guidance.

What is a phonemic transcription?
By 'label', do they mean three-term label?
Lastly, "with the possible exception of [?] and [?]"... The way this question is written is very confusing for me.

Any and all guidance is welcome

Consider the following data from Modern Greek. The language has a five-vowel system with two front vowels, two back vowels and a low central vowel / ?/.

??l? ‘milk’
?i?t?os ‘doctor’
?e?os ‘strong’
le?o ‘I say’
?onis ‘parents’
pi?eno ‘I go’
?usto ‘taste’
si?? ‘slowly’
me??los ‘big’
?un? ‘fur’
?po?evm? ‘afternoon’
li?o ‘a little’
?ios ‘son’
m??irevo ‘cook’

Assume that the transcription above is phonemic - with the possible exception of [?] and [?]. Provide (an) appropriate label(s ) for the phoneme( s) corresponding to [?] and [?]. Provide a phonemic transcription of the words meaning ‘cook’ and ‘big’.
