Saturated with

Hi,

Does the phrase saturated with sound like a verb or like "full of"?
There's a sentence I initially translated as

- Cedar wood, saturated with tannin, ensures high durability.

But then, upon rereading, that started to sound as
- Cedar wood, when is saturated with tannin or Cedar wood that has been saturated with tannin

when my intention instead was to say that cedar wood naturally has a high concentration of tannin.

What do you think?

Thank you for your help

It is the tannin, not the wood, which promotes durability. So you might say something like the following (US usage): The natural tannin in cedar promotes durability. The tannin in cedar promotes durability.

Henry74- Cedar wood, saturated with tannin, ensures high durability.
This is fine but, if you want to prevent any chance of misunderstanding, you can write: Cedar wood, naturally saturated with tannin, ensures high durability.

Thanks.
I realize my sentence was not very clear. The durability is that of structures (walls, buildings, etc) that use cedar wood.

I'm sorry for posting again, but I also forgot to mention that, because I'm listing different types of wood, I sort of need to begin my sentence with the name of the wood.
