Which of the following sentences are acceptable?

(1) Happiness lies in satisfaction.

Not speaking to the truth of the statements, they're both grammatical. The first seems reasonable.
The second does not, in my opinion.
Perhaps you mean "contentment," or "Happiness lies in being content."
