Same way as/that

Could you please tell me what you think of this sentence?

- When you live in a city you don't see it the same way as/that someone who's vacationing there. If you live in a city with lots of sunlight, you get sick of it and people vacationing there come for the sun.

I'd throw in a "For example," before the second sentence, and replace the "and" conjunction with "while." I'd say you need a comma after "sick of it."

I'd choose "same way that," but both are used.
