But "wake", 'waking", and "woke" in your example are all DYNAMIC/ACTION verbs.

How does this make sense: I am waking up now and believing you now? wake is a dynamic verb, believe is a stative verb.

I do appreciate your reply. However, my focus was not on different tenses as I already have a great handle on different tenses. My focus rather is on how reasonable it is for a stative verb and a dynamic verb to have the same subject without violating parallel construction.
